These rules and regulations are promulgated pursuant to R. I. Gen. Laws 4-18-9, 4-19-13, 20-1-2, 20-1-4, 20-1-5, 20-1-8, 20-17-9, and 42-17.1, et seq.

Purpose and Reason:

The purpose of these rules and regulations is to prevent the introduction of the above referenced non-indigenous fish species into the aquatic habitat and ecosystem of the State of Rhode Island, by quarantine.
